Food Science × Cross-Disciplinary Translation × Commercial Execution

Connecting food science with commercial execution. Built on food science, market observation, product logic, and application scenarios, I translate technical feasibility into clearer product direction and business judgment.

WHO I AM

My work starts with one question: how can a good food idea truly become reality?

That question takes me across product concepts, technical translation, sensory logic, and market research. The dairy industry has given me a solid technical foundation, but what truly interests me is the full path from insight to application, wherever category boundaries may sit.

Master of Food Science from the University of Melbourne, with a Bachelor's in Food Science and Engineering as well as Economics from Hunan Agricultural University. Working bilingually in English and Mandarin, I move between R&D and commercial contexts, translating laboratory language into a voice the market can understand.

  • Product application development: led China-market application development for the company's Parmesan, Halloumi, Mozzarella and other cheeses across snacks, bakery, tea beverages, foodservice and frozen foods, independently completing formulation design, process development and bench-scale validation; developed 30+ new applications with bilingual technical manuals, several snacks among them entered evaluation with a leading new-retail channel after client sampling
  • Customer technical support: delivered technical proposals and application solutions to B2B clients, supporting sampling, product demonstrations and trial-production handover; prepared 21 product application plans for a frozen-food client, covering process flow, portion-weight design and raw-material specification selection
  • Technical problem-solving: resolved fat migration, coating adhesion, ambient stability of freeze-dried products and desalting of high-salt ingredients, moving solutions from bench trials to pilot production
  • Regulatory and quality compliance: reviewed Chinese labels and compiled nutrition facts tables for imported dairy products under GB 7718, GB 28050, GB 5420, GB 25192 and GB 2760; followed up COA and raw-material specification deviations, identifying undeclared ingredients and out-of-spec COA moisture and driving corrective action at the plant
  • Samples and cross-border coordination: built a sample management system and a database of 1,000+ food-company clients from scratch, standardising the team's sample workflow; connected the Australian plant, technical team and China sales team to move projects from concept to launch, reporting regularly to management
